The Bunyoro-Kitara Kingdom
History

H.R.H Omukama Solomon Gafabusa Iguru I of Bunyoro-Kitara Kingdom invites you to become an honorary member of the tribe. We will, if you wish, arrange to induct you into the tribe; making you a munyoro (citizen of Bunyoro). We will perform for you a special cultural ceremony at which the king will bestow upon you full membership to the tribe.  Individuals who demonstrate exemplary service to the kingdom will have the honorary title of "Omujwaara Kondo" (coronet wearer) bestowed upon them by the king.  Service to the kingdom entails documented contribution toward meeting any of the kingdom's development goals.  The Western equivalent to Omujwaara Kondo is a Knight or Dame. You will become a knight or dame of one of the ancient orders of the kingdom. You will occupy a place of honor at the annual Empango (coronation) ceremony, which is celebrated in September of every year. It is, by far, the most colorful ceremony that defines our cultural heritage. (You will be wearing a coronet at this event).

For our interested brothers and sisters, you may direct all your inquiries to Office of the Prime Minister, Bunyoro-Kitara Kingdom.
